FACT: GK Electronics is a long-established legitimate VAT-registered business, operating from the same premises for 14 years, not from a garage or spare bedroom. The proprietor Gary Kenton CTS has been supplying the leisure industry in Cornwall with equipment and services longer than virtually any other company in the county. We own our entire premises so we are not going to disappear overnight, unlike other businesses that we have seen come and go over the years.
FACT: We have a showroom that is open to the public daily. We offer a full back-up and support service to all our customers. Repairs are handled by our colleague Roger White, an experienced electronics engineer. We are avaliable on the phone, or by e-mail, not from a mobile with no fixed address.
FACT: Many webshops advertise a huge range of goods, but don't tell you that they only stock the fast-moving ones. Anything advertised on this website that is not a general stock item will be described as such. We will be happy to quote delivery times for these products to enable you to make an informed decision about your purchase.
FACT: We are a UK based business, all the goods we supply are backed up by the UK importer's warranty. If you buy from the website of a shop based abroad, then in the event of a fault you have to return the unit to the country of origin for repair - the UK importer will not cover the guarantee.
FACT: We are all professional working entertainers, so can discuss your needs with the benefit of our many years of experience. In addition Gary holds many professional technical qualifications - CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), City & Guilds 2381 Level 3, SMART Technologies Certificate of Competence, City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing, etc.
FACT: Our years in the business have given us the opportunity to refine the product ranges that we offer. We look for quality, reliability and running costs - why sell you a product that's a few pounds cheaper but keeps breaking down or requires frequent maintenance or lamp replacements? That's no good for your reputation as an entertainer or ours as a service business, or for your bank balance. Therefore the goods you will see offered on this website are those that we have confidence in and would use ourselves.
FACT: Cheap prices can mean low quality. Remember the old sayings - 'If it looks too good to be true, it probably is' - 'Buy cheap, buy twice' - 'You get what you pay for' - 'No such thing as a free lunch' We've seen examples of all of these. We offer good quality goods at fair prices.
