Hearing Loops | AFILS
A hearing loop is a special type of sound system for use by people with hearing aids. The hearing loop provides a magnetic, wireless signal that is picked up by the hearing aid when it is set to 'T' (Telecoil) setting.
These systems are very popular in churches, public buildings, etc as The Equality Act 2010 states that all businesses are legally obliged to make reasonable adjustments to ensure their service is accessible to all.
Hearing aid users also like them because they can access the service without making it known that they have hearing loss.
